Alternating between my Patrimony Contemp. and RO chrono...
01/18/2008 - 16:24

The Patrimony is so light, that' what I love about it...and it's got RG case + black dial (my favorite combo).

My wrist is occupied by Malte DTR in WG this weekend! :-) nt
01/18/2008 - 16:41

c'mon guys get your cameras out and show us some pics :-) (nt)
01/18/2008 - 16:50

Pic of my Patrimony. It's my daily companion now... :-)

Sorry for the crappy photo...

rubber strap for me too

Bell&Ross BR-02

now that's a really nice BR!!!
01/18/2008 - 18:22

I like the fact that the case is a little bit curvy

I'm not a huge fan of the BR that are completely square... they are too big to be square IMO

Agree, I'm not a fan of Bell & Ross but loved this one and could

finally be the "beater" I've been looking for for so many years.

I'll be wearing this...

a Pasha 950 Chronograph on bracelet.

Best regards,

My wish is for the 1st one (picture courtesy of Fred), but that is in the very capable hands of Alex and the powers to be at V&C. So I will be sharing wrist time with my 2 favorites, the royal and the jubile (I cannot get this one off my wrist).

I wish I could wear your Jubilee also ;-)

Lucky Man!

These days the only thing I wear is my Ice Bang...
01/18/2008 - 18:20

...that is, until my baby arrives!

It might not be to every Lounger's taste, but I really like my Ice, it's a very fun watch and its very stealthy

So big and black...

that it can also double as a hockey puck. :-) Bill
LOL, it's true I could play hockey with it...
01/19/2008 - 16:21

...but that's not how I treat my babies...

by the way, the Habs are playing some pretty good hockey these days...

I'm warming up to Hublot, I saw the all black model (don't remembe its

name) and it was pretty bad ass even though I'm not sure you could read the time on it!!

Have you spent a considerable amount of time in the US?

a few years, why? BTW
01/19/2008 - 10:11

did you see that the correct number of jewels in cal 1222 was now indicated on the VC web site?

Re: a few years, why? BTW
01/19/2008 - 10:22

Yes I did; appreciate it very much.  I have noticed several times that the things you have said would indicate that you must have spent a good amout of time here and you liked it.

you are correct on both accounts: lived there, loved it!! :-) (nt)

All Black - that's the name of the model...

It is a pretty cool watch, and it looks pretty evil (if Mr Darth Vader had a watch, it would probably be this one). In fact, it with the AB that I got first interested in Hublot. Legibility is really bad, but then again this watch is all about emotions (comes back to the articles you recently posted on the Press Corner).

I wanted to buy this model first, but I was late trying to ge hold of one (it's a LE of 250 - like half of Hublot's models), and I would have had to pay almost 2x the MSRP on the 2nd market... I liked it, but not that much. And then with time I started to like the Ice Bang more, which is the exact same model as the AB, albeit it has the bezel, the hands, numerals and hour markers

in tungsten. It still has the monochrome effect (can you see a trend in my small collection?)...

There's no real point discussing the movement (a slightly modified 7750) or its finishing, it is what it is: a fun/fashion watch (having said that, it is losing about 1 minute per month, so it is pretty acurate). But I like it a lot (one of my favorite sports watch), and in fact I prefer it a lot more to the AP ROO...

This evening, I wear this, because I need a waistcoat for it!
01/18/2008 - 20:08

I always love to open the purse and pick it out

And just sit reading a book, watch TV or whatever,

with it in my hand,

feeling the massive weight of 60 grams

Press on the sides and open it, look at the magnificent dial,

that's happiness

Cheers and nice weekend to all of you

Had to take my little friend out for some sun today.

It sounds like we won't see it for a while. Best, Miki

Nice watch Miki, but

wrong name

I know, I know. It's best coming from you.

But it still a damned nice watch, like

the owner is a damned nice guy

Always like your humor,

dry English, and even more I appreciate your warm heart,

behind that hard face

Now thats a Patek that I really like...

Great watch Miki,

I love the subdial at 4-5 rather than the usual 6 o'clock.  Its a very dressy looking watch but the subdial to the side gives it a playful character.  Enjoy it and wear it in good health.

Best regards,

Beautiful watch! (nt)

No more PP5146 for Costco day...
01/19/2008 - 03:47

Today is Costco day so I am wisely wearing my crusty-as-myself vintage SS Breitling Top Time chrono (last time I wore my PP5146 and scratched it doing the groceries).

Wore my Jubilee RG to work yesterday, and my Toledo the day before that.  Tomorrow will probably be an Overseas chrono day.

Have a great weekend guys!
