What happened with Doc's idea?

Nothing!

First I had a bronchitis, the first for 20 years and I had to take antbiotics for 9 days.
All went well and I worked and sailed as usual,
BUT two days after I finished the cure I got this, last Saturday!

What happened with Doc's idea?

HERPES ZOOSTER.

God, how bad I have been and I still have some real pain. Actually it hurts to write this!

No tic-talk, or my other friends it's NOT any dealing at THL, it's a much brighter idea.
I just need some extern help and are in negotiations with some other people.

It will be outside the THL and 100% safe.

I'll be back when I'm a bit more fit for fight!

It would help all of us in a tremendous way, but until I get an accept from these persons,
I can't say more.

Cheers

Doc

Vaccine time
08/20/2012 - 19:46
Those loungers who had chicken pox are susceptible to Herpes Zoster at age 50/60+.  There is a vaccine called Zostavax and it is generally recommended. Although not entirely successful in prevention, it may reduce the very painful symptoms. If in the pool of susceptible, you should definitely look into the vaccine. Doc, my best wishes for a quick recovery.  Robert

Robert, it doesn't work like that. Once I had as child chicken pox. One little virus devil has lived in a nerve centre for 50 years and when you have bad immune defence, as i after the bronchitis and antibiotics. it can burn up. Most seen at old people, but I have sen it at a very well trained officer,  he was then 25 years old! He only got it at a small part on the forearm. You can as you understand not infect other people, yes as long as you have the blisters, you can perhaps give your grandchildren chicken pox, but you can never give any other Herpes Zooster, that you get from yourself smiley As with all virus infections, it wont come back! Cheers Doc
Hang in there, Mats!

Those Zoosters hurt and can stay for a whie. Treat early with anti- virals and the whole course of meds' GBS
This certainly is a rough patch!...
