What is it with me and bears in Shanghai?!? ;-)

I had a negative experience with hotel bears in Shanghai before, http://www.thehourlounge.com/en/vacheron-constantin-discussions/dan-and-3-bears-634652

Same city, diffferent hotel.  The first night, I found a bear in my room, on my bed.  As I'm travelling alone, I was a bit wary.  But cuteness won out over better sense. frown.  Luckily the first night went REALLY well! devil

The second night when I got back to my room, there were 2 bears in my bed, twins at that!  It was not a night of dreams, but rather one of nightmares.   The two started blackmailing me!  The only thing of interest they found were my watches.  A debate went on and on among them about whether the twin set of manual-wind or auto-wind watches would better fit their criminal lifestyles.  I'll be lucky if they don't take all 4! crying

What is it with me and bears in Shanghai?!? ;-)

What is it with me and bears in Shanghai?!? ;-)

The black bears in New Jersey and Pennsylvania that I'm used to seeing are much easier to deal with, all they want is food (and not even haute cuisine).  These ultra-sophisticated Shanghai city bears are KILLING me.  cheeky

This is NOT good news

This Shanghai sequel is no surprise me...

Dan, let's come-clean, your first visit was definately a cover-up  enlightened ...

Now then, here we are again, back in Shanghai, albeit at a different hotel (probably got larger bedrooms?)...

Early enquiries have shown that the hotel has a night watchman and he let's nothing slip through his hands  laugh.

I think a word with Daisy is called-for  wink...

Anyway, bet it was a great night and you found plenty of time for each other...surprise

Keep up the good work, Dan.

Best wishes

Tony

I must smell like honey to attract these friends :-). (nt)

Next time I see you, i am giving you a bear hug.

The Watches and the Bears look as if they are made for each other. Great

photography.

How are you?

Thanks KK

I had to wait until to reply to you because this afternoon I went to pick this one up from the watchmaker that just serviced it.  Got to say, feeling better with this on my wrist smiley

Thanks KK

It is hard task for baby bears to turn crown.

I recommend automatic watches.

Logical io.

But I get the feeling these bears are not very active, so they automatics may not be that effective in winding themselves.  cheeky

Bears? What bears? All I see are the watches I want to buy from you

You are on a tear this year.  Congrats.

Thanks Joseph, more burnt out now than anything else.

There are 3 more watches on my dream list.  One was available last month, but I just couldn't afford to get 3 at the same time.

Until the watch fund gets rebuilt (which means I must now work harder),  I'm looking more at interesting straps for what I already have.  I think that's something you'll appreciate :-)

cant wait!

A similar thing happened to me when I went to Geneva in 2008

Thanks Kaz, you get me! :-)
