models from the late 20s early 30s VC made with the winding crown at 12 (there is no specific reference number since at the time VC did not use ref numbers).
The reason behind the interesting design is that VC used women's pendant watch movements and these had the crown at 12!
In the mid 90s VC introduced a model directly inspired from the one you have under ref 92012
Thanks a lot Alex :-)
I was a little suprised when a saw winding crown at 12, because I've never seen it before,it is unusual. Than I saw a newer model with the same crown and I thought you guys from this forum must know something about it.
Do you know what's its market price nowadays?
a signed dial (which lowers greatly the market value of the watch) and price can depend on many things such as condition of case and movement.
The recent auction prices have been anywhere from $5,000-$10,000 depending on condition and size (31mm case is cheaper than the 33mm case models).
Hope this helps
Thanks to both of you for this interesting input. The crown at 12 is unusual and I really like the design of the mvt.
