My Dear Doc,  I hope everything goes OK, and that you stop stressing - we all now you're young and fit, but still still, stress is never good. Send some nice flowers to your nurse, speak to your kids on the phone, prescribe yourself a valium, and have a good night sleep.  Tomorrow is another day and hopefully everything will be fine! Cheers, Veillotron
I am sending you good thoughts from California. Take care

and wish you the best. Tim
Hang in there, Doc!

As Francois said, too much stress is not good (you should know by profession). Still, things have to be done and there will be some hassles.   Take your time and don't worry.  We will still be here waiting for you. All the best! Kazumi

Doc, we wish you well. Keep your stress under control with great distractions like reading watch magazines and posting us news about your wonderful watch collection. In your profession, stress goes with the territory and great responsibilities each day. Best wishes, Matt

Doc, This my first post, as I just joined the forum, having recently purchased a Chronometre Royal 1907.  I intended to introduce myself with the history of the purchase, when I read your post.  Having survived 32 years in law enforcement, I definately understand stress.  Take a deep breath and relax and look at your watch movement.  Sometimes stuff just happens, but the sun always comes up the next day.
that's a very thoughtful 1st post and welcome :-) (nt)

Welcome to the Lounge

As Alex said, your first post is a very thoughtful one. Perhaps a few nice pics of your 1907 might cheer up our dear Doc... Which version did you get - the one with the 12 in red or black? Cheers, Veillotron

Thank you for the warm welcome.  The version I got was the one with the 12 in red.
would love to see scans and have your impressions (nt)

having that little bit of red really brings the dial to life IMO

Hi Doc, forget valium. Open an old red wine bottle, switch on HIFI and select the Requiem de Mozart, choose a large chair, close your eyes and listen drinking with respect. NB : the choice of the red wine can be replaced by an old Cognac, and the Requiem de Mozart by any of your favorite. Regards. Patrice.
Patrice, you would make a better doctor than me...

I agree with you, the wine + music combo is much better than valium
My dear friend, sometimes thinhs seem to go very wrong but

Doc,  I Agree with all the others suggesting a good wine, good music and a good book. Life is to precious and you need to fill it up with the good things. Looking forward to your watch stories in the very near future. Take care and it's good to see you posting again. John
My friend, follow all the advice from our fellows
