What's on your wish list?

What watches are you really longing to own and hope to add to your collection sooner rather than later?

From VC I would love to have:

I've also fallen in love with the new Rolex Milgauss What's on your wish list? (but have yet to see it in a shop)!

Journe Resonance until I saw the patrimony auto w/o date and it has climbed up to n°1 on my list!!

Count me as a fan...

of the Patrimony without date too! This one is also on the top of my current wish list.

Contemporaine for me too!

I don't know if I will be able to save up in time to get a boutique version hand wind in RG, so there is a big chance I will have to settle for a regular model in RG.  That automatic (no date) is also very nice and being able to see the movement would be great.  Unfortunately, the added cost is a bummer.

If we are talking of dream watches, the Tribute to Great Explorers is one watch I would like to have...maybe if I meet Alex in a dark alley after SIHH 2008.

It would also be nice to have an AP RO, and an FP Journe CS.

First and main priority: The VC 47112 in Platinum (Sorry, no pics yet...)

Second priority, as a more relax watch, is the Hublot Ice Bang (I’m a real sucker for the “Fusion” of diverse materials and finishings )

Once those 2 are in the bag, I will be a happy man…

Next on the wish list would be: 1) Richard Mille RM005

2) VC Overseas Chrono (white dial - picture taken from www.thewatchquote.com)

3) My “dark horse” is the Anonimo Pro Chrono

I do like the AP ROO Barrichello 2 in titanium, but IMO completely overpriced (and I would think the "Value bobble" for this piece will pop soon enough after a few years, when a bunch of new LEs will take center stage...)

Chopard LUC Chrono One looks good (I wonder for how much it is going for...)

What do you guys think of the JLC Master Tourbillon? Is it the first “reasonably priced” tourbillon on the market or is it a cheap one?

Biver had a stroke of genius with the Big Bang he recently hired Genta

the designer behind such icons as the Royal Oak, 222, Nautilus or the Constellation to join Hublot! I'm really curious as to see the results.

We're told that Genta is being hired mainly to help revive the classic line (work ont he Classic 45mm) and to design a ladies Big Bang. He's to start working on September 1st, and should have 2 creations in time for next Basel.

Right now I have 3 watches all the way on top of my wish list
08/17/2007 - 17:07

n° 1 is the Hommage aux Grands Explorateurs, the first two models (Zeng He and Magellan) have been sold out and were really difficult to get so I've already placed an order with my AD for one the next models (3rd and 4th version) which should be presented at SIHH 2008. I'm a sucker for alternative time displays and cloisonnée enamel dials and you can't beat VC on these two grounds!!

Scans of the 2 previous models

Zeng He

n°2 is the Horological Machine n°2 from MB&F (Max Busser & Friends). Max has been very secretive about this watch and has only accepted to reveal the movement. I had the privilege of seeing the prototype and it is one hell of a funky watch. The watch should be presented in Nov and delivered early 2008

n° 3: Overseas Dual Time but I'll probably wait til next spring

Down the road I would probably want to have a special watch made by the bespoke department....

the MB&F movement is definately intguing! How the hell does it work?

first I'm looking for a rather casual week end watch and for me the new Patek Nautilus really fills the bill. I would also like to add a tourbillon to the collection and for me the Malte tourbillon is the most beautiful around and down the road I would love to get a Patrimony model either the boutique edition or the automatic without date which was posted

I'm saving up for a platinum 1755 Jubilee.  I know its a limited edition and can accept a used one when the finances are ready, if I can find one available.

BR, Dan

that's a dream watch! nt
