sorry for the bad pic
Tell me, Lin...
02/12/2010 - 15:44
Is your watch as thin as the regular Contemporaine manual-wind?   I must admit I like the look of the watch with the small seconds (although it is a little too near the center = small movement). Cheers! Kazumi
Same case Kazumi (nt)
02/12/2010 - 16:16
You are full of surprises Lin!
02/15/2010 - 19:17
I didn't know you had this bad boy! It looks very - very - nice! Cheers,  Francois
A rare beauty ...

which I saw a few years ago at HW in NY and I liked it a lot. Special, but not that "flashy" for Harry Winston. Maybe a little too big for my wrist - at that time Isn´t the movement from F.Piguet? HAGWE Oliver
yup Piguet movement with tri retrograde module from JM Wiederecht nt

The hand-wound Contemporaine Boutique at the bottom of the photo for me.   The one on top is just like what Lin is wearing today (rectangular JLC movement inside but very rare - unless you mug an old VC employee) HAGWE!! Kazumi
Did you know how Lin got his...?
02/12/2010 - 16:54
He jumped a former VC employee in Brussels, Belgium
LOL! I'm sure he assaulted him with wads of cash! (nt)
02/12/2010 - 18:46
Honestly, he snatched it away right before my eyes ;-(
02/12/2010 - 19:47
and bought it off of a former VC employee who had been "sent home" by Charlie himself and when asked about him Charlie knew which guy that was. And he wasn't very happy about it, I guess...
To wear for Valentine's dinner with my sweetheart, a VC Classique.....

YG Malte Grande Classique  Nicholas
Still one of my all time favorites and a great choice for the big

Thanks, Tim. It truly is a classic watch. Stylish & timeless. nt

Hi Nicholas, WOW! I love the guilloche! Wonderful timepiece! Best regards JAMES
Thanks, James. Later versions of this model had a crosshatch pattern..
02/14/2010 - 22:26
But I prefer this original.  It is quite striking in the flesh & I've never seen any other watch with this style of pattern.  Nicholas
I'm with you on this one Nicholas
02/15/2010 - 20:35
The guilloche is one of the nicest I've ever seen, and it is quite original And to top it all she's got the round Malte case Cheers,  Francois

One of the most curious one i know. It is funny to look at front person in the bus or metro that tries with discretion to understand how i can get time with it. Patrice.

Oooh, very nice HW .  Their designs are consistently appealing.
Something sporty and tough ...

No, not VC I'm afraid.  Until I get a replacement for the OS, this diver's watch will have to do.  Very comfy on a strap and tough enough to wear during tomorrow's 55km ski loppet, then off with my daughter for a few days backcountry snowshoeing in the mountains. Don't let Doc see this picture...too much snow!
My only recently made watch.
02/13/2010 - 08:53
A really nice JLC!
02/15/2010 - 20:56
One of the nicer Reverso I've seen recently - congrats!
