When the Extract from the Archives is not needed

In the previous topic, I wanted to share with you my positive experience of the new service launched by Vacheron Constantin.

I was very pleased at the beginning of the year when Alex told us about the new service as until then, the Vacheron Constantin was one of the very few to refuse the delivery of these extracts.

The Extract from Archive is not only about checking consistency of serial numbers and model references. I am fond of these documents that enable you to better understand the watch, its origin and the context of its birth.

That is why I also ask for these extract each time it is possible : PP, IWC, JLC, Omega. I have "tested" all of them.

However, sometimes, there are also vintage watches for which don't need the extract from the Archives...

Because they have everything you can already expect. smiley

Let me introduce you another 6111 with a more common white silver dial

When the Extract from the Archives is not needed

The full set was made of a leather wallet, with several documents.

The standard Certificate of Origin

There was also the Chronometer Certificate

Last but not least, the Royal Chronometer booklet, with interesting reading inside.

I hope you will enjoy the reading!

It is ironic, but at the end, none of these documents precises the production date of the Chronomètre Royal. Should I still order an extract? smiley

Best,
what a beautiful collection!

All these CRs are causing me to lose sleep!  So, there is a history of presenting VC watches in leather wallets?  I know some watches came with leather wallets in the 1990's and early 2000's, I believe, but it looks lke this format was used decades earlier, too.  It is actually a pretty useful "box" to store and carry watches. Best, Robert
Thank you

Thank you for posting photos of the booklet. If you have time could you please post a photo of the leather wallet?

I would also love to see a photo of the box if you have time....
No values on the timing certificate?

I see the red stamp of approval, but not the actual numerical results.  I'm picking nits, of course. The booklet is my favorite part -  I especially appreciate the style of the English.
The brand is a great start but it doesn't end there...

... the documentation does carry a great deal of weight. I've enjoyed your posting and the passion behind it! Take care Tony
