in terms of vintage watches there is no definetive book however the two Antiquorum auction catalogues on Vacheron Constantin thematic sales are must haves:

- The VC Quarter Millennium auction catalogue (Antiquorum) 2005 - The Art of Vacheron Constantin auction catalogue (Antiquorum) 1994  Two other books on the history of VC are worth reading as well since there are many interesting anecdotes and facts in them

- The Secrets of Vacheron Constantin by Franco Cologni (2005) - The World of Vacheron Constantin bu Cohen and Lambert (1992)

As for web sites I guess this is the best place , have a look at the "Recommended Threads" section and the "All Articles", in my articles I always try to have some history on vintage watches and in the recommended threads there are many discussions on vintage pieces.

Hope this helps

Alex

Thanks Alex!

Now I have some title (your and DOC's titles!) to "study" (I hope to find them soon!), in addition to internet site.

Hi Leonardo,

I would definitely recommend "The Secrets of Vacheron Constantin". It is the best book I have ever owned and practically tells you everything you would like to know about Vacheron Constantin, from the beginning days to the present. Have fun reading, I certainly have!

Regards,

Mike
