Why not having a new "Les Hiqtoriques" collection...

...with the "Vacheron & Constantin" name to make this collection different ? like the 12 in red, etc...

All the best to my fellow loungers,

Berny

I meant "Les Historiques"

...

"Hiqtoriques" or "Historiques" I like the idea Berny!

Putting the "&" in this line would be a very nice, differentiating, touch  yes

The only thing I can think of is that for the non-Vacheronistas out there - would they be able to tell the difference between the Historiques and original vintage models?

if I wanted to be cynical ....

I would say the & atttracts maybe 1% of VC aficonados....who prefer to buy vintage anyway.....

I like the idea of the & but having two collections of historical pieces wouldn't make sense IMHO, have one but with the & would be the way to go.

As enticing as the idea can be as I was explaining to Doc in an earlier post puting the & on the dial would be equivalent to changing the brand name and that is a decision only the shareholder can make.

I understand...

...your point.

You could call it the "Ampersand" collection.

Many thanks for the great book,

Berny

Great idea, I like the &, of course, but as Alex says,

the market is probably not there.

The 'Historiques' intersted would probably buy a vintage instead, and get the 'real thing'.

I would still prefer to get the ampersand (&), back on ALL NEW  Vacheron&Constantin watches.

That day I would feel that I had achieved something, that I could be proud of.

I am also convinced that the watch makers at the 'Old Firm' would appreciate it,

as well as I know very, very many true aficionados.

A 'true' Les Historiques would need an authentic movement and no sapphire back,

showing what we don't want to see smiley

Only my few kronor

Doc

Finally I thought the "& collection sounds too much as B&R
