Hi doc,

You are a lucky gentleman, and your wife, a lucky lady!

Warmest greeting to you both!

Jian

PS. Here is my first non-round (and non-VC) watch for many years.  I'd like to hear your sincere critiques:

I personnaly really like form watches and the Gondolo models are
10/31/2007 - 09:10

one of my favorite in the Patek lineup.

Hi Jian !
10/31/2007 - 10:18

I feel safe , when YOU of all VC fans buy a PP

And your watch is just gorgeous !

Take care and I love meeting you here,

as much every time

Your friend always

Doc

Hi Doc !

I for you, I'd feel unsafe!  I've just taken my first step towards the form watches. Just the fitst step! Who knows what is followed...

Your friend,

Jian

Hey, your original 1972 is a great piece! Good size! Take good care of it!

Hi Jian!

A great PP Gondolo so-called 'Banana'. I was considering getting exact same thing for a while but then resigned due to the fact I couldn't try it on (an overseas dealer) and wasn't sure about the size. I do not like small watches. But this one looks quite big on your wrist .

Anyway, may it only time happy moments for you.

Hi Radek,
11/01/2007 - 06:20

Ref. 5009, a convenient size of 26x39x7 mm, that's why it does seeem small on wrist.

Compare:

PP Ref. 5014: 28x35x7; Ref. 5111 33x48x9; Ref. 5109, 30x43; Ref.5024, 30x38x7;

VC Toledo 1952: 35x35x12; 1972 original: 21x46x7; 1972 resissued: 18x37x7; Les Historiques 1912, 36x30x7.

You got the idea.

Jian
