is not to interfere on the vintage market other than buying special historically important pieces for their museum.
VC would never pay these sums for pieces to be sold in the boutiques considering that VC restores the watches, puts on strap, buckle, certificate of authenticity and presentation box. If you add a margin the watches would be way over what the market would pay and unsellable so I can confidently say that VC was not bidding on these pieces for the boutiques.
I'll know soon if the ref 6448 was bought by VC for the museum (which I don't think so) or if it went to a private party.
